Saltwater Aquarium Update

A couple update pictures:

Squamosa Clam and True Percula Clownfish

The big squami leaves just enough room for the clown to sleep.

blotched two bar rabbitfish

The Rabbitfish waking up in the morning looks pretty cool!

Longspine Cardinalfish (Zoramia leptacantha)

A couple new Longspine Cardinalfish (Zoramia leptacantha) for the tank. They are a little scared now but seem to be getting more comfortable with their tank mates.

An Hour in Water World with New Camera

Reef Tank, Marine Fish, Anthias, Lyretail Anthias

I picked up a new Sony Handycam (HDR-XR260V) for work yesterday and thought I would try it out on the reef tank for an hour. I think it did a pretty good job! Make sure to watch in HD and full screen. 🙂

Actinic Aquarium Lighting

Giesemann T5 Powerchrome Actinic Lighting - Pure Actinic, Actinic+

A few photos of the actinic lights turning on in the morning. This is the first and last series of lights to be on each day. Lots of blue and purple! The bulbs are Giesemann T5 Powerchrome Pure Actinic & Actinic+.

Virgate Rabbitfish (Siganus virgatus)

The newest additon to the display tank is a Virgate Rabbitfish.  He’s been very active feeding and giving the Achilles Tang a run for his money on algae consumption. 🙂 As you can tell by the videos, he and the Achilles aren’t quite best buds… yet.

NWMRC Meeting – Charlie Ehler’s 300 gallon SPS Tank – Part 2

NWMRC Meeting – Charlie Ehler’s 300 gallon SPS Tank – Part 1

Here are a few videos from our last Northwest Montana Reef Club (NWMRC) meeting (2-11-2012). Charlie Ehler was nice enough to host our meeting at his house up the Fleathead. Hope you enjoy his 300 gallon SPS reef tank! More pictures to come.
