90 Gallon Refugium Update

Red Mushroom Corals

An update post of our 90 gallon refugium. I don’t see it very often with the lights on as it’s reverse lit (11:30 PM – 7:00 AM). I really like how big the mushrooms are when the lights (48″ Tek Light T5) are on. The mushrooms kind of cover up the mantis shrimp’s PVC cave system.

  1. Really nice! Once I get a stable job and can afford the money pit that is reef keeping, I’m definitely going to start one. I really enjoy looking at your pictures and thinking about the day I can start working on setting up my own.

  2. Thanks for the kind words. This $35/gal hobby is expensive but I think it’s worth it!

  3. Lovely pictures as always. The mushrooms are so pretty and cover the tubing very well. I love the sound of trickling water too.

  4. Thanks! I like the sound of the water too… pump’s low hum, not so much.
